Professional women have demanding careers and a personal life. These 2 areas of your life can mingle in regards to some of the outfits you wear, but accessories for professional women should be chosen wisely to remain both businesslike and feminine.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Buy brooches and pins that are classy and understated. Feel free to make a timeless statement with an antique brooch, but keep your flashy pins and brooches in your jewelry box for your personal time.
Step2
Keep earrings simple. It is easy to get creative with audacious chandelier earrings and large hoops, but these should be kept for nights on the town and should not be worn to the office. Small stud earrings or silver hoops that go with your other accessories are perfect for professional women to wear often.
Step3
Use necklaces to tie the wardrobe together. If you own a simple black suit, and wear a nice red shirt with it, buy an understated necklace that can incorporate 1 of the 2 colors into the outfit.
Step4
Wear scarves that incorporate the solid colors in your wardrobe. You can wear a scarf that has many main colors, as long as one of them is in the outfit you are wearing.
Step5
Minimize the number of accessories you wear at one time. Professional women need to look controlled, and an overabundance of jewelry can look very sloppy.
Step6
Choose subtle colors when buying shoes. There are lots of bright colors out there, but keep your professional wardrobe subtle by wearing only the basic blacks, browns and greys in the office.
Step7
Carry a professional looking briefcase, and a matching bag with clean lines. These will complement each other without making you look sloppy or flashy.
