Often considered a form of dance reserved for gentleman's clubs, pole dancing is quickly gaining a new reputation as a respectable form of exercise. Pole dancing, while fun and sensual, is also an extremely challenging workout for your body. Targeting the body's core muscles, pole dance can quickly sculpt your muscles as you build strength. With a few tips, you can add the fireman move to your pole dance routine.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stand next to your pole with your right side facing the pole. Lift your right arm and grasp the pole.

  2. Step 2

Build momentum for the move by walking quickly around the pole, making 1 full turn. Keep in mind that pole dance is a form of exercise, but it is also a beautiful and sensual dance, so keep your walk smooth and graceful.

  3. Step 3

Make your full circle and then swing your left arm in at chest level and firmly grasp the pole. Use the strength of your arms to pull your body up and bend your knees. Place the back of your left ankle, or your achilles tendon, against the front of the pole and the top or front of your right ankle against the back of the pole.

  4. Step 4

Use the momentum you have created to spin your body around the pole about 3 times as you slowly slide towards the ground. When you are close to the floor, gently relax your feet and stand gracefully, completing the fireman pole dance move.
