-
Step 1
Stand with your right side to the pole. Straighten your right arm above your head and grasp the pole up high.
-
Step 2
Create the momentum needed for the chair dance move by first walking quickly around the pole, making 1 full turn, or 2 if necessary. Remember that pole dance is beautiful and sensual, so make your walk smooth and graceful.
-
Step 3
Complete the full turn and come back to your original position. Without losing your momentum, swing your left leg up and around as you bring your left hand up to grasp the pole. Your left hand should be placed on the pole at about chest level.
-
Step 4
Lift your right leg level with your left once you have a firm grip on the pole with both hands. Your body should now be lifted off the ground with your legs bent, as if you are sitting in a chair.
-
Step 5
Use the momentum you have created to make a full turn or 2 around the pole in the chair position before relaxing your legs to the ground in preparation for your next dance move.
