How to Wear Eye Makeup With a Ghost Costume

Contributor
By eHow Contributing Writer

Create a spooky look under your costume to compliment your ghostly exterior. Wear light-colored clothing, add ghostly accessories and complete your appearance with white makeup. Try on the costume with your eye makeup to see if any final adjustments need to be made before setting out for a ghoulish night of fun.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Apply white eye makeup on your eyelids, under your eyebrows and under your eyes. Pat baby powder on your eye makeup to set your makeup and to create an even white color. Brush off excess powder with a powder brush.

  2. Step 2

Use white eye shadow instead of Halloween makeup to give your costume an added touch of white while preserving your appearance for later activities. Apply white eye shadow as you would any evening eye makeup. White eye shadow is available in the cosmetic aisle of most drug stores or from the counter of your favorite makeup retailer.

  3. Step 3

Try on your ghost costume after finishing your eye makeup. Check that your sheet hangs loosely over your body and the eyeholes open over your eyes. Walk around to make sure you can see in your costume. Make adjustments at this time. Cut more space around the eyeholes if necessary.

  4. Step 4

Ask a friend to see if any natural skin tone shows through the eyeholes of your ghost costume. Use a mirror to carefully mark those areas to touch up with your white eye makeup. Add a decorative material around your eyeholes if they are too big. Use fabric glue to secure the material to your sheet.

  5. Step 5

Remove your costume and make finishing touches to your makeup. Try on your ghost costume again and look in a mirror to see if you created a ghoulish appearance.
