Breathing in a ghost costume made from a sheet may be difficult if you have breathing issues such as asthma or allergies or an older sheet with contains dust mites or dust. Luckily, cutting a nose hole for breathing in a ghost costume is as easy as cutting an eyehole.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide what kind of hole you want; it doesn't have to be a circular hole. You could create a few jagged lines if you want and still get enough oxygen to be comfortable.

  2. Step 2

Mark the spot where you want the hole or jagged line to be with a fabric pen. It may be easier if someone else does this so the hole is in the correct spot.

  3. Step 3

Think about whether you want to use a use a razor blade or a pair of fabric scissors to cut a hole. Razor blades create a more thready, or jagged hole, which may be a fun look. Scissors create a more perfect hole or line.

  4. Step 4

Cut the hole or jagged lines, following the markings. Since this is a ghost costume, and you're going to be covering any skin shown through the hole with make-up, it doesn't have to look perfect.

  5. Step 5

Try on the costume to make sure the hole is in the correct place and you're comfortable breathing through it. If not, try enlarging the hole or adding more jagged lines.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget to apply ghost makeup to any skin you may be showing.
  • Make it a personal costume. Feel free to accessorize your ghost costume with hats, spider webs or other spooky things.
