Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Silver dollar
  • Hat
  1. Step 1

Hold the silver dollar on the back of your second and third fingers balancing it between the pinky and the pointer, while making your fingers as straight and natural looking as you can.

  2. Step 2

Show the audience your open hand with the palm facing toward them to prove that your hand is empty.

  3. Step 3

Flip the coin out along the second and third fingers (where it currently lies) and onto the thumb, clamping it with these 2 fingers and the thumb. Wave your hand up slightly as you do this so the audience cannot follow what you are doing.

  4. Step 4

Place the coin into the hat you are holding.

  5. Step 5

Flip the coin back up and onto the back of the second and third fingers with your thumb to conceal it while your hand is hidden in the hat.

  6. Step 6

Hold your seemingly empty hand up again while the coin is on the back of the fingers with the palm facing the audience. Produce another coin in the same way. Place that into the hat as well.

  7. Step 7

Continue doing this coin trick as long as you like, amazing your friends and family and leaving them wondering how you did it.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use a smaller coin, but a larger silver dollar works best for this trick. If using a smaller coin, you can only clamp it between one finger, therefore you have a greater chance of dropping it.
  • Don't give up. This trick takes lots of practice in order to do it smoothly. The more you practice, the easier it gets, but it will be difficult at first.
