Some women are pros at applying the glue to fake or false eyelashes. They make it look so easy to get just the right amount of glue on and apply the eyelashes in the perfect position every time. If you're not one of those women, use the following for some tips on learning how to apply glue to the fake eyelashes.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eyelash glue or adhesive
  • Fake eyelashes
  1. Step 1

Remove the fake or false eyelashes from the storage tray that they came in. Look them over to make sure that they are in good shape with all the lashes turned the correct direction and no gaps in the lashes.

  2. Step 2

Measure the fake eyelash against your eyelid along the eyelashes to make sure the fake eyelashes are the correct width. New eyelashes may need a trim to be the correct width to fit your eyelid. If the length of the lashes is longer than you desire, very carefully trim or snip the tips of the lashes to shorten them just a bit.

  3. Step 3

Hold one of the eyelashes with your fingertips. Open the tube of eyelash glue and apply an extremely thin even line along the clear band that holds the eyelashes on. Another option for applying the glue is to put a few drops of the eyelash glue on a piece of paper, let it get a bit tacky and then use a toothpick to evenly spread the glue along the fake eyelash band.

  4. Step 4

Wait 5 to 10 seconds to allow the eyelash glue to start to dry or become a little tacky. Practice will give you a better idea of how long you will need to wait using your brand of eyelash glue.

  5. Step 5

Press the fake or false eyelash on to your eyelid right along the line where your natural lashes grow. It is a good idea to have applied all your makeup first, including eyeliner, so that the fake eyelashes just blend in.

  6. Step 6

Allow the eyelash glue to dry. Try not to open your eyes really wide for a couple of minutes so the glue has a chance to take hold of the eyelid. Repeat the application on the other eye.

Tips & Warnings
  • The eyelash glue or adhesive is white, so that you can see where it goes, but it dries clear.
  • Wash your fake eyelashes with warm water to remove the glue after wearing. You can use a tiny eyebrow brush to help remove stuck on glue. Good care of your fake eyelashes will allow you to wear them repeatedly.
  • Avoid getting the eyelash glue in your eye. If you do, rinse your eye with cool water or use a damp cloth to wash the glue out of your eye.
