How to Create a Tall Dining Room Floral Centerpiece

Things You'll Need:

  • Vase
  • Floral oasis
  • Floral tape
  • Flowers
  • Greenery
  • Fillers
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

    Soak the floral oasis in water to prepare it to accept the flowers and help keep them fresh and hydrated.

  2. Step 2

    Cut the oasis to fit firmly into the vase. For large arrangements, consider creating a criss-cross pattern over the opening of the vase to help support the flowers.

  3. Step 3

    Arrange the tallest pieces in the center of the container. The first piece should be the focal point of your arrangement, so choose the flower you want to highlight.

  4. Step 4

    Work in a circular pattern to create a floral arrangement that is beautiful to view from any angle.

  5. Step 5

    Add flowers, greenery and fillers in the layers below the center section.

  6. Step 6

    Step back and view your work in progress. Check to make sure all of the pieces are evenly distributed, look for holes that need to be filled and check to make sure you're building downward in an even fashion.
