How to Do the Cabbage Patch Dance
If you ask someone about the cabbage patch dance, you may hear words like "Football," "Touchdown," or "San Francisco" in describing what it is, but the cabbage patch dance actually began before Jerry Rice celebrated in the end zone. You too can do the cabbage patch dance.

-
1
Find a good spot to dance. Make sure you're giving yourself plenty of room to move around and have some fun.
-
2
Move your torso to the left side with your right shoulder coming forward. Repeat this same action for the right side torso and left shoulder. You're going to alternate between both the right and left side and start moving in a side-to-side motion.
-
-
3
Stretch your arms out in front of you and move them in a circular motion opposite of your torso in Step 2. This can seem pretty boring, so put your personality into it. Instead of just simply putting your arms straight out, add some pauses and movements, as well as facial expressions.
-
4
Include your legs and feet. There are different movements that you can do with your legs--knees up, knees to the side or your entire leg in a circular motion--and feet--side to side, tapping or heel to toe.
-
5
Add in hip movements to complete the cabbage patch dance.
-
6
Try substituting movements in Steps 2 through 5 to fine-tune your dance. If you're stepping side to side with your feet, change to going in and out with your knees.
