Step 1
Place yourself in the proper boxing stance with your left foot forward. Your front foot provides your body with balance while the back foot supplies the power for the punches.
-
Step 2
Put your hands up. They should be at chin level. This is the best way to defend your face from knockout blows. Do not place your hands higher than your nose. Your vision could become obstructed if this occurs.
-
Step 3
Rotate your hips and shoulders at the same time and turn your front foot as if you are squishing a bug on the ground. Throw your body into the punch and this will create more power. Your back foot should remain on the ground in order to anchor you and your balance.
-
Step 4
Strike the opponent in a straight line and recoil your hand back to your chin as it originally was. Remember to keep your left hand in the defensive position during the punch so you do not leave your face open to an opponent's blow.
-
Step 5
Continue these steps to accurately deliver dangerous blows to your opponent. Make sure you do not use this punch so much that it becomes very predictable. It is intended to be used as a knockout or disabling blow.
