-
Step 2
Use every day items like paper plates, toilet paper rolls, paper bags and construction paper for the base of the craft. Add accessories like pompoms, ribbon and cut out shapes to make the crafts more interesting.
-
Step 3
Make sure you have children's glue and safety scissors. Keep a few of each in your bag so that you will have one for each child.
-
Step 4
Determine that your arts and crafts are age appropriate. Bring simple crafts like coloring for the younger children and more difficult crafts like cutting and pasting for the older children.
-
Step 5
Find easy to trace patterns for children to use or cut out your own patterns to use while constructing arts and crafts. Children like decorating familiar shapes like animals or holiday shapes like snowmen.
-
Step 6
Bring coloring books and thick crayons for the very young. Children also like water-color books and marker books.
-
Step 7
Help the children construct the arts and crafts by holding the paper for them, showing them how to put pieces together and aiding them with the scissors and glue.
