Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Dig a large area to work in. Keep digging until you hit wet sand. You can use tools for this, but your hands work just as well.
Step2
Make a very large pile of wet sand. You want this pile to be tall and wide, as you'll shape your castle by removing sand rather than adding to it. Make sure the sand is very wet.
Step3
Decide where you want your towers to be. Make a rough shape of the towers before you worry about sculpting them in detail.
Step4
Remove the sand around all sides of a tower so that it stands alone. Leave enough space so that you can easily reach to clean and detail your sand castle.
Step5
Use a small, flat stick to carve turrets, windows or brick imprints if you so choose. The style can be as elaborate or as rustic as you like. Just remember to have fun.
Step6
Clean your tower of unwanted sand by using a soft brush to smooth its surface. Use a drinking straw to gently blow the unwanted sand away.
