Break dancing is full of all sorts of moves that require balance, agility, strength and that little innate quality that separates the men from the boys: rhythm. Here is how to perform one of the flashier moves in break dancing called Tripod Freeze.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Kneel down on the ground so that your head is facing down and each palm is touching the ground by your shoulders.

  2. Step 2

Extend your legs so that the balls of your feet are now touching the ground. This will begin to put weight on your head.

  3. Step 3

Raise your right leg and bend it in so that your right knee is touching your right arm.

  4. Step 4

Lift your left leg, bending your left knee so that it is touching your left arm.

  5. Step 5

Move your legs away from your arms so that you are now completely standing on your head. Each arm that is supporting you makes up the other two pieces of the break dancing tripod.

  6. Step 6

Form positions with your leg within a break dancing routine. The tripod freeze is all about getting your legs into different positions. Whether you stick them horizontally, vertically, or form them into a diamond, leave one leg bent and the other straight. They are all cool variations on the tripod freeze.

  7. Step 7

Hold each position for a moment to complete the tripod freeze. Another popular variation is to spin yourself slowly on your head using the leverage from your arms. This is called a tripod spin.
