It's a fast round of ammo and is quite popular for target shooting and small-game hunting. There are many calibers which people refer to as "common" for rifles.

3. Check out some different common rounds, such as a 223-caliber. This caliber is used for varmint hunting and also is a popular round for the military. One of the most common high-powered rounds is a 30-06. This is probably the most popular hunting round in existence. It's been on the market for years. It has plenty of speed and knock-down power. People also like to shoot these two rounds at their local target ranges.

4. Look at common rounds for handgun shooters. Again, the most inexpensive caliber is the 22-caliber ammo. The next most common round is the 9-mm for target shooting or for self-defense. There are two more common rounds: the 40-caliber and the 45-caliber. This type of ammo is also popular in target shooting. These common rounds for pistols are normally used in semi-automatic weapons.
