One of the most basic requests when making balloon animals is for a horse. While the horse can be a complicated animal to make, you can definitely learn how to make one using a few simple techniques.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Have the right equipment before you start making your balloon horse. You need a professional quality balloon that won't break when you are manipulating it.

  2. Step 2

Start with making the ears of the balloon horse. The ears should be approximately one and a half to two inches long, and each should be exactly the same size.

  3. Step 3

Create the body by twisting off two 4-inch segments of the balloons. The body of the balloon horse is the biggest feature of this balloon animal.

  4. Step 4

Make a pair of front legs for your balloon horse. The legs should be about three inches long, and each should be the same size.

  5. Step 5

Do the same for the back legs by creating matching 3 inch long legs. All 4 legs should be equal size. If the size is off, you should start anew.

  6. Step 6

Use the remaining balloon as the tail for the horse. A good trick is to tie the tail around the back two legs. Doing so locks the back 2 legs into place.

  7. Step 7

Add hooves to the bottom of the legs. You can also add some additional twists in the body to make the appearance of a mane.
