Step 1
Set up your table saw that the blade is set at a 45-degree angle as you prepare to cut your base molding for the inside corner. You can do this by turning the knob that controls the angle of the blade.
-
Step 2
Adjust your fence so that so that your piece of base molding will sit at the desired angle.
-
Step 3
Put on your safety goggles. You should always protect your eyes should pieces of wood become dislodged while cutting with your table saw or any saw.
-
Step 4
Wear ear plugs. The noise of the table saw when it's cutting can damage your ear drums over time. It's best to guard against this possibility.
-
Step 5
Place the piece of base molding that you desire to cut for the inside corner on the table saw. Make sure that the blade will hit the mark you drew so your measurements will be preserved.
-
Step 6
Lower the blade and cut the piece of base molding at the desired 45-degree angle.
-
Step 7
Raise the blade and inspect your piece of base molding. Should there be any rough edges or ragged bits, you can easily remove these with your fingers, so a nice clean edge results.
-
Step 8
Turn the piece of base molding around so that you can cut the other end at a 45-degree angle for the inside corner. Repeat the above steps, and then clean any ragged edges.
