Keep your eyes on the ball. Watching the ball constantly is the only way to guarantee that you will know where it's going to fall.

Extend both arms, with the fingers of your glove pointing up. Hold your non-glove hand wrist to wrist with your glove hand, and catch the ball at or above nose level.

Keep your arms relaxed and your elbows bent. This will help absorb the impact of the ball hitting your glove.

Call the ball as soon as it starts coming down. You don't want to call while the ball is still going up, because you can't know for sure where it will land. When you are in the outfield, you need to call the ball loud and clear. Failure to call the ball will result in a collision of players or a dropped ball.

Follow the ball all the way into your glove. Close your glove hand to ensure the ball doesn't bounce back out.
