Step 1
Start with the basic hat shape, which consists of two balloons twist-locked together at each end and tugged apart in the middle. Attach a third balloon by twist-locking it in the same places. The first two balloons go over your ears, while the third goes across the top of your head.

Make unique balloon hats by twist-locking as many balloons as you'd like to any of the three balloons that create the basic hat structure. You can choose to twist in long balloons wrapped into a bubble chain, or twist two balloons around each other and then attach them.

Alternate balloon sizes and colors for a crazy, over-the-top effect.

Step 4
Try the hat on during the process to make sure it's balanced and sits on your head. Adjust the balance by adding balloons to one side or the other if necessary.
