Things You'll Need:
- Ayurveda oil

Step 1
Understand Ayurveda. Practiced as long as five thousand years ago, Ayureveda has been India's system of natural and herbal care for health. Ayurveda Massage touches on all of the body's pressure points to stimulate balance and energize the three doshas, air, fire and water.
-
Step 2
Apply special Ayurveda oils to promote circulation. A good oil will also relax you. Oils with neem and sesame are known to deliver their properties for healing down deep into the tissue layers. Spread the oil on the body with your fingers spread and hands flat like a fan. Move the hand softly and with relaxing motions until the oil is even.
-
Step 3
Massage with the cupping stroke. Use both of your hands, one on top of the other in a slight cupping curve. This stroke requires strong pressure so apply as much as you can. Slide the cupped hands along the area you are massaging, then sweep back around in either a circle or a long loop, depending on the size of the area you are working.
-
Step 4
Concentrate on one area. This technique is good for areas where there is a lot of pain like the lower back region. The cupping motion soothes and relieves the ache while it also helps with the body's internal circulation.
