How to Make an Anti-Aging Facial Mask

No one can turn back time, but anti-aging facial masks can help. Anti-aging facial masks are expensive when applied by a professional at a spa and can be costly even when purchased at a drug store. Luckily, there is a way to make an anti-aging facial mask at home using a few common ingredients.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Honey
  • Almonds
  • Essential oils
  1. Step 1

    Gather all necessary ingredients. These include honey, primrose oil, essential oils and almonds. Essential oils may be purchased at health food stores, beauty supply stores or online.

  2. Step 2

    Warm 1 tsp. of honey in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave for a few seconds on high power.

  3. Step 3

    Add 6 tsps. of evening primrose oil to the warmed honey.

  4. Step 4

    Add 100-percent pure essential oils. Add 2 drops of mandarin oil, 2 drops of orange oil and 2 drops of neroli oil. Mix all of these ingredients together.

  5. Step 5

    Grind 2 tsps. of almonds in a food processor. Make sure there are no large pieces in the finished product.

  6. Step 6

    Incorporate some of the ground almonds into the honey and essential oil mixture to make a smooth cream.

  7. Step 7

    Smooth this anti-aging facial mask onto the skin while the mix is still warm. Leave the mask on for 20 to 25 minutes, and then wash off with warm water and a soft washcloth.

  • Check the temperature of the facial mask before applying to make sure it isn't too hot.
