Airbrushing is a beautiful art form in which pictures and words are painted onto an object with an air blown paint gun. It is something that is often seen at amusement parks, malls and other places where people are likely to purchase shirts.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Put the shirt over the painting pallet or easel.

  2. Step 2

Tie or tape the sleeves of the t-shirt around the back of the shirt. This will give the shirt a tightly pulled look so it won't be baggy while you paint. It also provides a smooth painting surface.

  3. Step 3

Starting at the neck of the shirt, place your finger around the center.

  4. Step 4

Slide your finger down to the middle of the shirt, right below the sleeves. For the purpose of this project, this is your official center.

  5. Step 5

Paint the shirt beginning in the center and working your way out. This will ensure that your picture or words are perfectly centered on the shirt.

  6. Step 6

Blow the paint gun off to the side or in the palm of your hand between paint colors to ensure that all remnants of paint have been removed before using a new color.

Tips & Warnings
  • You will likely get paint on you when you airbrush. Wear old clothes.
