Step 1
Put your body in a four-point stance, with your knees slightly bent and your hands up in a defensive position. Keep your dominant hand slightly in front of your non-dominant hand. Your feet should mimic your hands. For example, if you are right-handed, stand with your right foot slightly forward.
-
Step 2
Swing your right hand out in a punch, performing a right hook at belly height on your opponent, and then repeat the hook on the left side. These two punches should be fast and hard.
-
Step 3
Step back for a moment in case your opponent returns a hook. Step in and repeat the right hook/left hook combination, but this time aim at the head of your opponent.
-
Step 4
Prepare for your opponents punches by squatting after your second combination of right and left hooks, otherwise known as the bob and weave. Squat, lean right and then lean left.
-
Step 5
Stand up and repeat the kickboxing body shot, beginning with your left and right hooks to the belly.
