Tips & Warnings

  • Use your belly muscles to slightly wiggle your hips during the foot sequence. This move will make the beads on your hip scarf wiggle attractively as you do a triplet in belly dancing.
  • Don't be ashamed of your body if you feel you don't have a svelte enough physique. Belly dancers come in all shapes and sizes. It's one of the few forms of dance where body shape variety is encouraged.
  • If you have any health conditions or if you're pregnant, get doctor approval before belly dancing.
