Acne is a facial skin condition that affects teenagers and adults alike. There are several creams and treatments to control and cure acne. Some products will work better for some and worse for others, depending on your skin type. You may have to try a few different treatments before you find the one that works best for you.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look for a treatment that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Make sure the treatment has one or both of these elements which will dry up the pimple. Look for this information on the back of the acne medication bottle or container.

  2. Step 2

Apply the acne treatment medication according to the instructions on the bottle or the container. Be patient. It usually takes one to five days for a pimple to dry up and disappear.

  3. Step 3

Use H20 hydrogen peroxide cream to accelerate the process. This can be used with the other treatments or alone. This will help add moisture to your skin and make it smooth and shiny. It will also help to kill the bacteria. H2O hydrogen peroxide takes one to three days to eliminate pimples.

  4. Step 4

Avoid using acne cleaning pads because they usually dry out the skin. They also can spread the bacteria around the face as you rub the pad on the face and this could help spread the acne and make it worse.

Tips & Warnings
  • If acne gets worse or does not clear up within a couple of weeks, consult a doctor.
