You can make your pipe cleaner crafts look fancier by adding accessories. Use these ideas to add accessories to your crafts and create intricate designs that can add detail, heighten realism or a sense of caricature and entertain your children.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Collect a variety of accessories that you can add to your pipe cleaner crafts, such as googly eyes, pompoms and stickers.

  2. Step 2

Glue googly eyes to your pipe cleaner animals to make them look more realistic. You can buy eyes in many different sizes and colors.

  3. Step 3

Cut out noses and eyes from different colors of felt and add them to the faces you have created. You can also use felt to make ears and feet.

  4. Step 4

Use buttons to make clothing and body shapes look fancier. Tie bows around the shapes. Make the bodies plump by using large pompoms.

  5. Step 5

Attach different colored feathers to the shapes so that you can have tails and wings on your birds.

  6. Step 6

Glue tiny pompoms to faces to make noses and eyes. You can also attach small pompoms to the ends of pipe cleaners to make antennae.

  7. Step 7

Add glitter and sparkle paint to make your pipe cleaner crafts look fancier. Thread craft beads onto the pipe cleaners to make long necks or silly looking legs.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a small glue gun to add the accessories to the crafts so they won't fall off.
  • Monitor your children if they are using the glue gun.
