Eye shadow can add definition to the eyes and subtly enhance their shape or exert a more dramatic impact, depending on your personal taste and your choice of colors. Applying eye shadow can achieve exactly the look you want.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Apply foundation evenly to your entire face before you apply the eye shadow.

  2. Step 2

Dust a little translucent face powder under your eyes before. If any eye shadow falls, it won't stick and can be easily brushed away.

  3. Step 3

Use a large makeup brush to apply light-colored eye shadow to your entire eyelid.

  4. Step 4

Close your eyes. Use a smaller makeup brush to apply the medium shade from the crease of the eyelid to the eyelashes.

  5. Step 5

Open your eyes so you can see the crease in your eyelid. Use a smaller, angled brush to apply dark eye shadow in the crease. This will add depth to your eyes.

  6. Step 6

Brush the large makeup brush over a piece of Kleenex to remove the eye shadow. Using the clean brush, lightly blend the edges of the colors so they don't look like three distinct colors.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have deep-set eyes, stick with lighter shades that will bring your eyes out rather than make them appear deeper.
  • If you have difficulty matching shades, buy eye shadow that has the three colors already coordinated.
