Things You'll Need:
- Wiper blade refills
-
Step 1
Note the two ends on the rubber portion of the blade. The open end is the lead end. It doesn't have any stops or blocks inside. The other end is the trailing end. It has a divot, which is where the metal portion of the blade locks into the rubber portion.
-
Step 2
Put the guide springs inside the rubber portion of the blade. Slide the guide spring in the top groove in its corresponding position. Squeeze it to make sure it stays in place and put the other on the other side. Make sure they seat properly.
-
Step 3
Slide the wiper blade onto the wiper blade assembly. Make sure you slide it until the clip on the trailing end locks into the end of the metal portion. This is important so it won't slide around.
-
Step 4
Disassemble only one blade at a time if you replace the blade with a refill. This way you can use the other one as a guide. Make sure the new blade is the same length as the original. Interference may occur if the blade is too long. On the other hand, a blade that's too short may not fit the holder.
