1. Get a domain name. This domanin name will be the name of your website and the URL that will direct visitors to your site. Your own domain name will make your site look more professional and make it easier for visitors to find you on the Internet.

2. Register your domain name. Then no one else can use it. It can cost between $10 and $35 to register a domain name. Numerous domain registrars are available and you can find them by doing a simple Internet search.

3. Find a web host online which you can use to make your own site. A web host is a company that has many computers connected to the Internet. Your Internet service provider likely offers web hosting for no additional charge. Free web hosts will place banner or pop-up ads on your site, but paid web hosting sites for will not.

4. Layout your website on paper. This plan will be a road map that will guide you when you put your site online. Create the images, text and pictures for your website. Design your website beginning with the home page with links for navigation and a product page, if necessary.

5. Make an email link so that customers and visitors can contact you or your business.
