Stubborn chin hairs can be embarrassing and difficult to remove. Although there are a number of hair removal methods available, waxing is popular because it's relatively affordable and lasts a long time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Waxing strips
  • Wax
  • Waxing stick or applicator
  1. Step 1

Choose a waxing product that has been created specifically for facial hair.

  2. Step 2

Prepare the wax. The consistency should be slightly runny before you begin the procedure. Test the wax on a small area of your arm or leg to make sure the temperature is right. Never use wax that's too hot.

  3. Step 3

Tilt your head back slightly and imagine that the chin is split into two halves. You'll wax each half separately.

  4. Step 4

Use a larger stick or applicator to apply the wax. Dip it into the wax container to get the wax needed. Then apply the wax in a downward motion several times across the chin until half of it is completely covered. Remove any globs of excess wax with the stick.

  5. Step 5

Take your waxing strip and place it on the waxed area of the chin. Firmly press down on the waxing strip several times.

  6. Step 6

Hold the skin taut with one hand and rip the waxing strip off the chin with the other hand. It may be necessary to repeat this step several times to make sure all the hair and wax is removed.

  7. Step 7

Repeat the waxing procedure on the other half of the chin. Then remove any wax that remains on the chin or face and apply a soothing facial lotion to calm the skin.
