Keeping your motocross bike in prime condition is extremely important to your performance level and safety. This is especially true for the tires, as they can jeopardize your safety and pose risks to other riders near you at the time of a problem or accident.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Big flat-head screwdriver
  1. Step 1

Place your tire back on the caps, sliding it into place as when you took it off. Tighten the nut and lay the chain back on the bracket. Make sure the chain is lining up along the entire way to ensure you get the master link into the correct position.

  2. Step 2

Find your master link and thread it back through the holes it came out of. Snap it on and slide the clip into place. You always want to find the round tip side of the clip. Clip it so the tire rotates forward. If you reverse it, it can cause major damage when the chain fails on the track.

  3. Step 3

Look for the notch on the master link and insert a big flat-head screwdriver into it. Give it a solid tap and it should pop right into place. If you are having trouble getting it to pop into place, don't force it. See that everything is lined up correctly and retry.

  4. Step 4

Check that all nuts and bolts are tightened. Check all your work to make sure it is done correctly and test the new tire before you get on the track or in a race.
