Step 1
Ensure the tire bead and tube is in the tire properly. They need to be flat against the inside of the tire and not twisted in any way. Twisting or other problem with the tube will cause problems when you try to blow the tire up.

Use a tire iron to work the tire back onto the rim. Start in one spot and using a little muscle, place the edge of the tire iron against the tire and push it behind the edge of the tire rim.

Make sure the tube is centered as you go around and force the rest of the tire into the edge of the tire rim. The stem valve needs to be straight up and down. It needs to be perpendicular with the tire. If it is tilted one way or the other, it will put strain on the tube, which could cause the tube to break or cause damage to your tire.

Step 4
Check that the tire is in the rim nice and tight. The final step is to air the tire up. This should be done to the specifications required for the type of tire and the standards for your competition and safety.
