Step 1
Setup the table part of a tile saw first. Commercial-grade tile saws are heavy. They must be setup on a level surface to prevent them from turning over. Some tile saws have scissor-type legs. Make sure that the legs are locked in place when extended.
-
Step 2
Put the tray in next when you setup a tile saw. The tray holds the water supply. Install the slide on top of the tray. The slide is what the tile actually lays on while you are cutting it. This normally has measurements so you'll know the size piece you need to cut.
-
Step 3
Install the motor and the tile saw. The motor and the blade usually attach to the table part of the tile saw. The saw uses a diamond cutting blade. If you use the tile saw without water, this creates a dust storm.
-
Step 4
Place the water pump in the back of the tray, behind the tile saw. Fill the tray with water. Plug in the tile saw. Now it's time to turn the tile saw on. Check the pump and make sure it is spraying water on the blade and tile.
-
Step 5
Check the operation of the slide table before you turn on your tile saw. Make sure it moves forward and backward freely. It's important that this slide table is set up to operate smoothly for you to make cuts with ease as you work with tile.
