Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Sketch a doggie shape onto a piece of paper. The shape should be a standing profile of a dog with a snout, two visible legs and a tail. The body and body parts should be fat enough to allow room for 3 dimensions once it is sewn together.

  2. Step 2

Fold the sketch in half lengthwise so that on one side, only 2 legs and part of the belly are visible and the head and tail are not.

  3. Step 3

Fold a blank piece of paper in half lengthwise as well. Place the blank piece of paper around the piece with the pattern on it. Using a pen, trace the drawing of the legs and underbelly of the dog onto the other paper.

  4. Step 4

Keep the tracing folded and remove the original doggie pattern. Set aside.

  5. Step 5

Cut out the legs and underbelly while keeping the paper folded. When the paper is unfolded, it is the pattern for the under legs and belly of the stuffed animal.

  6. Step 6

Use a smaller piece of paper to sketch an ear shape. Get the ear shape perfect by using a piece of paper small enough to hold over the head of the dog picture to sketch on.
