Instructions

    • 1

Get a double broiler ready. A double broiler consists of two pans that fit together and a lid. The top pan has holes in it to allow the steam to rise from the water that boils in the bottom pan. Fill the bottom pan of the broiler with water and put the pan on the stove.

    • 2

Place the top part of the broiler pan on top of the bottom pan.

    • 3

Put the desired amount of eggs in the top broiler pan.

    • 4

Cover the pan with the lid. Turn on the heat to medium high and allow the water to boil. This will take about 5 minutes.

    • 5

Keep the water boiling for another 20 minutes. The eggs will be fully steamed and cooked by that time.

    • 6

Open the lid and remove the eggs from the pan with a serving spoon. Be careful not to scald yourself, as the steam is very hot.

    • 7

Allow the eggs to cool by transferring them to a bowl of cool water for about 5 minutes. The cooling process makes the eggs easier to handle and peel.
