Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 popsicle sticks
  • Sticky or hot glue
  • Glitter
  • Piece of yarn or string
  1. Step 1

Glue the popsicle sticks end to end to form 2 separate triangles of 3 sticks each. Glue one triangle on top of the other as evenly as possible. Add a little more glue where the pieces meet to make it sturdy. Let dry.

  2. Step 2

Set the glue tip down on the wood and make little swirl patterns. You can also make circles, letters or cover the whole ornament with glue. Sprinkle glitter and let dry. Shake off excess glitter. Repeat on the other side.

  3. Step 3

Lace string or yarn through the top and tie off to hang after completely dry.

  4. Step 4

Experiment with other decorations like beads, paint, candy, strips of fabric and crafting stickers. Have your kids color or paint the sticks before assembling. Glue wrapped chocolate kisses to each point for a fun look. Glue 9 large oblong beads across the top including one on the top star tip to make a Menorah.

  5. Step 5

Make a door knob ornament by using a wide ribbon to hang. Tie 1 or 2 jingle bells to the bottom of the star.
