When you want to look your best, you pay special attention to your makeup. Smokey eye makeup is a quick and easy technique to use when you have someone to impress. Follow these simple steps and you'll soon have a sexy and smoldering look for a night out on the town.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eyeshadow
  • Eyeliner
  • Mascara
  1. Step 1

Select your color. Violets and blues are good for brown eyes and grays, browns or blues are good for blue eyes. You'll need three colors of the same shade, a highlight that is a shimmer and flesh toned, a mid-tone that is a matte and a shade darker than your skin tone and a contour color in a matte or shimmer that is the darkest color you'll use.

  2. Step 2

Apply the highlight, or the lightest color, directly on your brow bone down to the crease of your eye. Dab a bit of the highlight color in the duct of each eye.

  3. Step 3

Put the mid-tone on your eyelid. Start at your eyelashes and work your way up to the crease of your eye, blending with the highlight color.

  4. Step 4

Spread the contour color on your eyelid. Again, start at the eyelashes and smear the color toward the crease of your eye. Take care to blend it with the mid-tone. Apply the contour along the bottom lashes.

  5. Step 5

Pick an eyeliner color that matches your eyeshadow. Line your top and bottom lids with the eyeliner and apply a coat of mascara. Clean up any smudges you might have made and your sexy new look is complete.

Tips & Warnings
  • Curl your eyelashes before applying any eyeshadow or mascara for even more of a sexy look.
  • Make sure your eyebrows are well-groomed so the entire eye area looks immaculate.
  • Start with just a bit of eyeshadow. It's easier to add more than to take it off.
  • Don't go overboard with the darkest color or you could end up looking more like a raccoon than anything else.
