Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Cotton balls
- Bleach
- Vinegar
- Lemons
- Cloth
- Squeegee
- Nailbrush
Step1
Soak cotton balls with bleach and place in the corners of the bathtub and any other corner where there is a buildup of mildew. Leave this in place until you have finished cleaning the rest of the bathroom.
Step2
Remove soap scum on shower doors by wiping fresh lemon juice on both sides of the glass and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping away with warm water and a squeegee. The acidity in the lemon cuts through soap scum quickly and leaves a fresh lemon scent in its wake.
Step3
Pour white vinegar into the tracks of shower doors to remove built up scum in a difficult to reach area.
Step4
Let the vinegar penetrate the dirt for a few minutes before using a damp cloth or rag to lift the dirt out.
Step5
Clean mildew from bathroom caulking by soaking more cotton balls with bleach and running them along the length of the caulking before rinsing off with warm water.
Step6
Immerse the shower head in a jar of white vinegar for several minutes to remove scum and mildew. A small nailbrush will help loosen any remaining buildup.
Step7
Finish cleaning the rest of your bathroom in the usual manner before removing the cotton balls from the corners of the bathtub and rinsing clean with warm water.
