Carnie ball pool is a simple game you can play on a billiards table. It is similar to games you may find at a carnival. Because it is so short and basic, it's a good way to practice your pool shots.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Place 3 balls together in a triangle on the table where you would normally rack the balls. Place the cue ball in the other end of the table.

  2. Step 2

Break the balls as you would in a normal game of pool. It is best to try to separate the balls with the break since it's more difficult to sink a shot when a nearby ball gets in your path.

  3. Step 3

Call your first shot. You want to choose a shot that's easy to make, but also one that lines up your next shot.

  4. Step 4

Take your first shot. You must sink your intended ball in your intended pocket to continue. Be careful not to scratch, as that is an automatic loss.

  5. Step 5

Evaluate the position of the balls remaining on the table. Call and take your second shot, assuming you made your first. If you're successful, you may call and take your third shot.

  6. Step 6

Win carnie ball pool by calling and making all of your shots without scratching.

Tips & Warnings
  • When taking a shot, shoot from the lower part of your arm. Your elbow should swing back and forth and your upper-arm should remain still. This gives you a controlled, accurate motion.
