Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Newspaper
  • Paper doll cut-out
  • Fine tipped marker
  • Yarn or raffia
  • White craft glue
  • Magazine cut-outs
  • Photographs
  1. Step 1

Cover the table with paper, so the marker does not bleed through.

  2. Step 2

Decide if you are making a boy paper doll face or a girl paper doll face.

  3. Step 3

Draw a practice face on a piece of scrap paper.

  4. Step 4

Outline the eyebrows, eyes, nose and mouth lightly in pencil.

  5. Step 5

Go over the outline with a black fine tipped marker.

  6. Step 6

Add eye lashes and color to the eyes and lips. Make longer eyelashes for girl paper dolls and curvier lips.

  7. Step 7

Add yarn or raffia for hair. You can add braids or pigtails or just a short bang. Attach the hair with white craft glue.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you aren't comfortable with drawing a face on the paper doll, you can use a magazine cut out or a photograph of the child whom the doll is for.
