1
Select a piece of paper or card stock. This can be purchased in any school supply section in many stores. Card stock usually works better than regular paper because it is heavier and the paper doll will last longer.
-
2
Draw the shape of the doll on the paper or the card stock with a pen or a pencil. You can free hand draw the doll or trace it. A gingerbread man cookie cutter works exceptionally well as a pattern to trace for the paper doll.

3
Trace over the paper doll outline with a sharpie pen or a black marker. This will make the outline to be cut a lot easier to see and follow with the scissors.
-
4
Cut around the black outline of the paper doll. Cut slowly so that you do not cut into the doll.
-
5
Trim the edges smoothly so that there are not any rough edges.
-
6
Decorate and enjoy your paper doll.
