Measure to determine the lengths of baseboard molding you need to cut. These measurements are critical to achieving a professional finish. Most contractors suggest measuring multiple times to insure accuracy.
-
2
Set your miter saw to cut a 45-degree angle. Your inside corner is 90 degrees. Since you're joining two sections of baseboard to meet, they will each be cut at half of that angle.

3
Make an inline cut on one section of baseboard molding and set it aside. Pay attention to how you place the baseboard when making this initial cut.
-
4
Turn the other section of baseboard around and make another inline cut at a 45-degree angle. This cut should be in the opposite direction of the first baseboard.
-
5
Check to make sure the two sections fit. They should slide together snugly, creating a perfect 90-degree corner.
