Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Break apart your chopsticks if they are the wooden kind. Don't twist the chopsticks; instead grasp them individually and pull as if you're breaking a twig.
-
Step 2
Hold one chopstick between your middle finger and your thumb. The chopstick should stick beyond your fingers about two inches.
-
Step 3
Place the flat side of the chopstick where your thumb and index finger touch. Hold the skinny edge of the chopstick with just the tip of your middle finger. It should feel as if you're holding a pencil.
-
Step 4
Use your index finger to hold the second chopstick. Put your thumb on it and be careful not to let the skinny tips become uneven because that might cause your chopsticks to cross.
-
Step 5
Hold your first chopstick steady and move the second chopstick up and down with your index finger. Your thumb will stay where it is.
