Rubber band cuffs, or crazy man handcuffs, is a popular magic trick that you can do just about anywhere using two simple rubber bands. The trick looks simple enough to do, but you'll wow your friends and co-workers when you magically escape from rubber band cuffs. So, if you're interested in learning the trick, keep reading to find out more.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose your cuffs wisely. Pick out two rubber bands with a fair amount of stretch. This will allow you to do the trick more efficiently.

  2. Step 2

Set up the trick. Begin by placing one rubber band around your left thumb and forefinger. Your hand should form a "C" shape when the rubber band is in place. Show the hand to the audience so they can see what you're doing. Then put the rubber band on your forefinger on the right hand and place it behind the rubber band on your left hand. Slip your right thumb into the bottom of the second rubber band. Your hand should cover most of the process so that the audience won't be able to see how you got the two rubber bands together.

  3. Step 3

Stretch the rubber bands. Show the audience that the rubber bands are now linked together, and stretch the linked bands a few times to show that they don't come apart.

  4. Step 4

Slide them into position. Using your hand as a shield again, stretch the rubber band toward your wrist and slide the middle finger on your right hand through the bottom part of the rubber band and thumb to release it.

  5. Step 5

Wave your hands to show the audience that you have magically escaped from rubber band cuffs.
