1
Unwrap the new dishwasher you are about to install. Remove all plastic and foam wrapping before attempting to install a new dishwasher.
-
2
Connect the water line to the dishwasher. Make sure you have secured it tightly using Teflon tape around the fittings. The Teflon tape will help to secure the lines and avoid leaks at the connections.

3
Attach the drain pipe from the new dishwasher to the drain pipe under the sink. Tighten it with a cinching clamp. Many of the drain hoses are larger than the pipe itself. This is where a cinch clamp comes in handy.
-
4
Plug the new dishwasher into the electrical outlet. Be sure you have the correct voltage going to that outlet to handle a dishwasher. If there was a previous dishwasher in the area and you are simply replacing it, then the voltage should be fine.
-
5
Run all of the pipes and hoses under the cabinets so they are not in plain view.
-
6
Push the new dishwasher into its place under the cabinets. Be sure you have not pinched any of the cords or hoses in this process. A pinched hose could cause the new dishwasher to not function properly.
