One of the simplest costumes you can make at home for Halloween is a ghost costume. You can construct a ghost costume out of a plain white sheet and other materials that you have on hand. While making your ghost costume, you'll need to cut the eye holes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Draw circles on the white sheet that you plan to use. The person who plans to wear the costume should model it for you. Find their eyes and draw two circles with a black marker.

  2. Step 2

Take the sheet off of the person. Drape the sheet on a chair and find the section that contains the black circles.

  3. Step 3

Use a pair of scissors to cut out the eye holes. Poke the scissors through the center of the circles to start cutting.

  4. Step 4

Work your way around the edges until the eye holes are completely cut out. You can cut the holes larger and hide the eyes of the person with makeup.

  5. Step 5

Dispose of the sheet scraps. After the eye holes are cut, you can move onto cutting the other openings for the ghost costume.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't have a pair of scissors handy, you can use a razor blade to cut out the eye holes. Use the black circle as your guide and make the holes slightly larger than the markings.
