Step 1
Measure from the outside of the framed wall that has already been raised. While some carpenters prefer to build all the frames prior to raising the walls, for the average builder it makes more sense to build and raise one wall at a time to decrease measuring errors.

Step 2
Clean the area where you want to place the framed wall. Remove any construction debris or dust and make sure the space is dry to avoid trapping moisture.

Step 3
Place your second framed wall on the floor in such a way that the bottom of the wall is very near it's target spot. You want to simply tip bottom into it's final location, rather than try to move the wall once it's upright and its weight is concentrated.

Add a generous amount of construction adhesive on the floor where the bottom of your framed wall will sit.

Stand at the center of the wall you plan to raise. If this wall is long or too heavy for you to handle on your own, seek the help of others. Space them evenly along the top of the wall.

Step 6
Take hold of the second wall, raise it, and begin to walk it into position. Lift the wall rather than slide the bottom along the ground.

Step 7
Maneuver your second wall into place, making sure it's tightly fitted against the exterior wall and snug up against the previously framed wall. You can use a hammer to persuade the frame into place if needed.
