The table throw is a great technique to use when playing Frisbee football or golf. The throw takes time to learn but can be used for tight shots (in football) and short throws (in golf). Improve your Frisbee skills and get a hand up on the competition by reading the steps below.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stand in a relaxed position with your knees bent and left leg (for right-handers) slightly forward.

  2. Step 2

Hold the Frisbee with your thumb, index and middle fingers. The thumb is on top of the Frisbee's edge (used primarily to balance the Frisbee) with the fingers underneath the lip positioned at a 45-degree angle.

  3. Step 3

Cock the wrist back (in extension) in preparation for the throw. Your wrist should make a 45- to 90-degree angle (with the top of your forearm) prior to the throw.

  4. Step 4

Keep your elbow in (close to your body) as you bring the Frisbee slightly away from your body and back at a 45-degree angle.

  5. Step 5

Turn (or rotate) your hips slightly back toward your throwing hand as you gather momentum for the throw. Rotate the hips towards your target as you perform the next step in one fluid movement. If you've ever swung a golf club or baseball bat, the hip movement is similar.

  6. Step 6

Bring your arm forward (as in a forearm hit) and flick your wrist as you release the Frisbee with your index and middle fingers.

  7. Step 7

Practice the throw. The table throw takes more time to master than other basic throws. However, with a little persistence you'll be flipping the Frisbee with ease and accuracy.
