Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Alfredo sauce
- Two egg yolks
- Thin wire whisk
- A fine wire strainer
Step1
Check your Alfredo sauce for consistency after it has cooked on the stove for 20 minutes. Your sauce should stick to the spoon if it's thick enough.
Step2
Turn off the burner that contains your sauce. The heat maintained by the pan can cook the eggs.
Step3
Scramble two egg yolks into a separate container. Pour one ladle of the Alfredo sauce into the egg mixture while whisking with a thin wire whisk. Adding egg will give your Alfredo sauce a rich flavor.
Step4
Strain any floating bits of egg with a fine wire strainer before whisking the egg into the Alfredo sauce. Whisk the egg mixture into your sauce.
Step5
Raise the temperature on the burner and allow the sauce to thicken, stirring gently. If the sauce becomes too thick, add milk to thin it out again.
Step6
Combine the Alfredo sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles. You can add protein, such as chicken or shrimp, or eat the pasta as is. Enjoy your meal.
