Step 1
Begin with a valid email address. This is required to create a Facebook profile. Click the "Sign Up" button, and enter the required information.

Click "Edit Profile" in the top left-hand corner of the next screen.

Enter your basic information, such as name, sex, marital status, birthday, religious preference and political views. Click "Save."

Move on to the contact information page. You can add your phone number, cell number, mailing and email addresses in this section. You can also set the privacy to whatever level you want to prevent your information from being displayed to just anyone. Click "Save."

Add your personal information. This is where you can add a list of your favorite books, movies, interests, hobbies, TV shows. Click "Save" when you are done.

Step 6
Personalize your Facebook profile further by adding a photo of yourself to your homepage. You can also add an entire photo album to share with other Facebook users.

Step 7
Send out Friends requests to start building your Facebook network.
