If you want to learn an easy partner dance, try the disco two-step, also known a the hustle. This disco two-step has more in common with swing dancing than John Travolta taking over the dance floor in "Saturday Night Fever." There are many different versions of the hustle, with varying degrees of difficulty. Try this one out with a partner.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Face your partner and touch your hands together at shoulder height.

  2. Step 2

    Dance the disco two-step on a four-count (1-2-3-4).

  3. Step 3

Pick up your right foot and step back, quickly transferring your weight to the back foot and picking up the left foot slightly. Your partner steps back with his left foot, transferring his weight and picking up the right foot slightly. You should mirror each other's movements.

  4. Step 4

Release your left hand to the side at the same time that you're stepping back, arm gently bent and ready to return to your partner's hand. Again, you are a mirror image of each other.

  5. Step 5

Return your back foot to the starting position and step in place with the opposite foot. Your free hand returns to touch your partner's hand.

  6. Step 6

Repeat Steps 3 through 6. As you dance, you can rotate with your partner in a circle around the dance floor.
